Ingredients required to make veg biryani recipe
1 glass basmati rice
4, 5 teaspoons curd
Half a teaspoon turmeric powder
One-third teaspoon coriander powder
One-third teaspoon red chili powder
One and a half teaspoon biryani masala
Half a teaspoon garam masala
Saffron,
Half a cup milk
Finely chopped coriander leaves
Finely chopped mint
Chopped carrots
Chopped beans
Chopped potatoes
Green peas
Chopped potatoes
Green chillies
Ginger garlic paste
Half teaspoon cumin seeds
Bay leaves
Whole black pepper
Two-three cloves
Preparation for Veg Biryani Recipe
1.Chop onions into long thin slices
2 Chop potatoes, carrots and beans into medium size pieces.
3.Chop coriander leaves and mint leaves into fine pieces.
4.Peel green peas.
5. Make ginger garlic paste.
Method to make Veg Biryani Recipe
- First of all we will marinate the vegetables. Take a bowl for marinating the vegetables. Put 4-5 teaspoons of curd in the bowl. Now add salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and biryani masala as per taste and mix it well. Now add chopped vegetables, green peas, finely chopped coriander leaves, and finely chopped mint leaves and ginger-garlic paste. Adding mint gives a wonderful taste to biryani. Mix it well and keep the vegetables aside to marinate.
2. Take a glass of basmati rice, wash it 3 to 4 times, then soak it for 15 to 20 minutes, this will make the biryani fluffy, put cooking oil in a cooker, now fry the onions in it, fry till the onions turn brown, when the onions turn brown, take them out, the taste of fried onions is very good in biryani,
3. Now put whole spices in the remaining cooking oil, adding whole spices gives a very good taste to biryani, soak saffron in half a cup of milk, adding saffron makes biryani very tasty, when the onions start becoming soft, then add ginger garlic paste in it and fry till the onions turn light pink, now add chopped tomatoes in it and mix well.
4. When the tomatoes become soft then add the marinated vegetables in it and cook the vegetables along with the tomatoes for 2 to 3 minutes. Now drain all the water from the rice and spread a layer of rice in it, add fried onions on top, add salt according to taste, add some biryani masala and garam masala and also add saffron milk. Now we will add one and a half glasses of water in it. We will use one and a half glasses of water for one glass of rice and after one whistle, lower the flame of the gas and let it cook for two to three minutes. After this, turn off the cooker and let it cool down.
5.After the cooker cools down, open the cooker. A nice aromatic, healthy and tasty biryani is ready. Serve it hot.
